Potential New House

J and I put an offer in on a house on Monday.  Yesterday it was verbally accepted.  Yippee!!! The contract is being overnighted to the sellers and then they will overnight it back.  We are really excited because we are getting it for 40K less than asking price.  So hopefully by Friday at the latest we will have everything in hand.  Then the inspections can begin.  The sellers are already talking about getting all their stuff out (which is a lot!  They had more knickknacks set all over than I would ever want.).  The house has been vacant for three years which probably explains why they were willing to take such a hit in price.

This is the front view of the house.  It sits on three acres on the top of a hill.  I love the wrap around porch on two sides.  It will be perfect for my two new rocking chairs.

It has a drive under garage for me.  The door on the porch leads into the kitchen.  There is also a huge room on the back....

Opposite of the house is this huge three stall garage/barn.  It is absolutely perfect for the type of auto body work that J does.  It has really tall ceiling so he can put in a huge lift.  It is will also be nice that his mess can stay in there and not in the house garage.

Porch view.  I can't wait to find a table and chairs to go out on the porch for eating outside.  I also promised J can he can get a grill.  There is also the door that leads to....

Kitchen - I really like breakfast bar and counter color.  The dinning space is directly behind the picture if you understand what I am saying.

I love, love the fridge.  I wish it wasn't white, but it is a fridge on top with french doors and an ice maker for J.  I hate bending over to look in the fridge.  There is also a pantry in the space between the fridge and the back door.  The stove and dishwasher will eventually need to be replaced, but over all it is a nice kitchen.

Don't you just love my new pink carpet!  Ugghh... it will get replaced eventually.  There is a nice bay window behind the pink shades. Seriously who would do this to a house.

This is the mystery room on the back of the house.  We will have our own indoor heated pool. Can you say swimming in the winter!  It will be fun, but also a lot of work.  From having a pool growing up I know.  J and I didn't really care about the pool, but it is a kind of cool feature.  It is eight feet at the deepest and I think three feet in the shallows.

The house also has three bedrooms and two full baths.  There are also two half baths.  One in the basement and the other in the breezeway between the kitchen and pool.  There is one finished room in the basement and the rest is unfinished.

J and I are definitely hoping all works out and goes well.

awesome house! The pool is nice! I bet an indoor pool is easier to maintain than an outdoor one because you don't have all the debris getting into it.

Hope you get all the kinks work out on your offer so it's smooth sailing!
